It’s cute: transtec’s SENYO Mini PC 700MP is small enough to fit on a beer coaster and weighs just 500 grams. But it’s big on the inside: It sports an Intel Core i3-3217U processor with the power of Ivy Bridge Technology. And it costs just £413,50 exclusive VAT.

Banbury, Oxfordshire, 22 November 2012 – transtec has unveiled its next generation of mini PCs. The SENYO Mini PC 700MP is the smallest personal computer with an Intel Core i3 CPU on the market today. Less than four centimeters tall and with a footprint the size of a beer coaster, the SENYO Mini PC has a volume of just half a liter. The tiny computer weighs in at just 500 grams – around two thirds less than systems with a similar form factor retailing today.

transtec delivers its first RAID storage systems fitted with 4TB hard drives

Systems with up to 192TB of storage in a 4U rack-mount chassis offer 33% more capacity and consume 20% less energy!!

Banbury, Oxfordshire, 14. September 2012 – Thanks to new 4TB enterprise hard drives, RAID storage systems can now offer one-third more capacity combined with an energy saving of 20 percent. The 4U rack-mount systems with a total capacity of 192TB and Fibre Channel or iSCSI host interfaces are suitable for use as single-controller storage systems in data archival applications. The RAID storage systems with redundant dual controllers and an overall capacity of 96 terabytes are recommended as central mass storage in Fibre Channel or iSCSI-based storage-area network environments.

The new SENYO Compact PC 710USF is 50 percent smaller than its predecessor and now only has around a quarter the volume of a mini tower

Banbury, Oxfordshire, 20 August 2012 – transtec has developed a new hardware solution for businesses: The SENYO Compact PC 710USF has a volume of just six liters, making it compact enough to fit in spaces previously too small for a personal computer. This is possible thanks to its ultra-small form factor and a third-generation Intel microprocessor based on Intel Ivy Bridge with a thermal design power (TDP) of up to 65 watts. This makes the Compact PC ideally suited for networked computing environments and office applications in large organizations like banks and insurance companies, government agencies and administrations, and any sector with customer traffic.

The new processor technology delivers up to 20% more performance than its predecessor Sandy Bridge – with up to 40% less power consumption. The improved energy efficiency is thanks to the new 22 nanometer technology and three-dimensional transistors.

Banbury, Oxfordshire, 5 April, 2011. transtec has expanded its product portfolio: Customers can now order silent and infrastructure servers as well as workstations for graphics applications with the latest Intel Sandy Bridge architecture. All models support Intel Xeon E3-1200 Processors. The entry-level model of the Lynx CALLEO Infrastructure Server 1167 costs 704 GBP and the Lynx CALLEO Silent Server T165 587 GBP. The workstation in the standard configuration is available for 722 GBP (excluding VAT).

Operative earnings increase by 43.5 percent

Banbury, Oxfordshire, 11 November, 2010. transtec AG has today published its interim report for the first three quarters of 2010. The company has recorded sales of 30.5 million euros which is a 6.2 percent increase on last year's figures. Incoming orders are 11.4 percent up on those from last year. From the period between January 1 and September 30, 2010, operative earnings (EBIT) increased by 43.5 percent on last year to minus 0.83 million euros (adjusted for currency effects). In 2009, this figure was down to minus 1.46 million euros.

Latest transtec Hardware Now with Red Hat Certification

Certified server and desktop models now available

Banbury, Oxfordshire, 4. November 2010. transtec has extended its range of servers and workstations to include the Red Hat certification. The current transtec CALLEO 342 and CALLEO 352 Servers, SENYO 630 Mini PC and the transtec Workstation 2300 have been officially certified for use with Linux-based operating systems. In addition, the systems can also be used with the clones CentOS and Scientific Linux, which are available as free distributions. The Red Hat certification is valid effective immediately.

transtec satisfied with first half year of 2010

Growth in incoming orders

Banbury, Oxfordshire, 27.08.2010. transtec AG has published its half year report for 2010. The IT Group generated a gross profit of 4.5 million euros above last year's figure of 4.4 million euros. Incoming orders rose in the first six months of 2010 compared with the same period last year by 4.9 percent. The earnings before tax (EBT) came to - 0.8 million euros which was also an improvement of last year's figure of - 0.9 million euros.

Exam Revolution at the University of Applied Sciences at Darmstadt

transtec installs learning centre, laboratory and examination rooms at the University of Applied Sciences (UAS) at Darmstadt with Pano Logic Zero Clients.

Darmstadt – after a successful start to the learning centre of the electrotechnology and IT faculty of the UAS at Darmstadt (Germany), the innovative zero client technology from Pano Logic is now being used for examinations. Up until recently, the students had to solve complicated programming tasks in their examinations by using the traditional paper and pen approach. This wasn’t possible on the PC as the configuration of every single computer would have been far too time consuming and complicated. The desktop virtualisation technology from Pano Logic now enables the temporary installation of a virtual desktop for every student from the central server. On these desktops, applications, which are needed for the students’ examinations, are precisely installed.
