Windows Vista™ Downgrade
With a downgrade right, transtec offers the solution for customers who already are running Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional on their existing systems, who, however, in the future intend to migrate to Windows Vista™. transtec delivers the PC with Windows Vista™ license and a pre-installed Windows® XP Professional. Until the scheduled migration, you can use Windows® XP Professional on the new incorporated computer without being obliged to buy a new license. In this way, you can decide the moment of your company-wide migration. Additional replacement and expansion investments for the PC will not be required.
Prerequisites
- In order to be able to exercise the downgrade right you need one license for Windows® XP Professional. For this purpose, it will be sufficient if there is one PC in the network operated with Windows® XP Professional. The license is not required for the registration process of the new PC, but in order to make sure that an XP-based network structure exists.
- For the downgrade to Windows® XP Professional, with your new PC you have to acquire either Windows Vista™ Business or Windows Vista™ Ultimate.
