Better remote maintenance.

The SENYO vPro series considerably eases the workload of IT administrators on a daily basis. With it, the administration and maintenance of your desktop PCs is possible even when the operating system is no longer working or when the PC will no longer boot up.
The integrated Intel AMT technology allows:

• Faults to be located, investigated and eliminated:
  
  • Fault diagnosis, repair, update or maintenance are carried out centrally and remotely.
  • You avoid costly visits to site thanks to the remote start function and console redirect.
  • If an on-site visit is needed, you can send out employees immediately with the right spare parts.

• Remote software installation:
  • Software availability outside business hours.
  • Remote-controlled installation of security patches and updates on networked company PCs even when systems have been powered down or are not operational.

• Hardware and software inventory:
  • Up to 98% faster capture of PC hardware inventory data.
  • Up to 94% faster PC software inventory.

Thus PCs which are switched off can be booted via the network, as already the case with WAKE on LAN. A new feature is however that the remote PC can use, for example, a CD-ROM in the network administrator's drive as a boot medium via an IDE redirect. Furthermore, even computers with completely destroyed operating systems can be administered and repaired remotely. In addition, communication is encrypted so that the remote maintenance of sensitive IT systems is possible over the internet without any security concerns.

Implementation options.

This solution requires desktop computers with Intel vPro technology and at least two servers on which the Server Software Management Suite is running. Every desktop computer also needs the right ISV agent from an independent system vendor to communicate with the servers.
