Supercomputers: transtec HPC clusters
Overview of transtec HPC cluster solutions:
HPC clusters, which operate on the Beowulf principle, offer a cost-effective alternative to conventional supercomputers. Interconnected standard servers equipped with powerful processors deliver high performance for your applications. Choose from a variety of configuration options. The available operating systems are Linux with our open source based CLUTO management concept and Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003.
Examples of configuration options:
- High-speed interconnect with InfiniBand and Myrinet
- PXE boot environment or full disk installations
- AMD or Intel based processor technology
- Installation of MPICH, LAM/MPI or PVM
- Integration of PathScale or Portland products
- OpenPBS, PBSpro or SUN Grid Engine as batch queuing system
- Completely preconfigured and turnkey installation
All HPC cluster solutions have the following features:
| References & customer comments |
Entry-level HPC clustersComputing power does not have to be expensive. The transtec entry-level HPC clusters offer economical example configurations that can achieve a performance of over 100 GFLOPS,
|
Mid-range HPC clustersWith a basic configuration of 16 or 32 nodes, they can achieve performance figures that make expensive SMP computers look tame by comparison.
|
Enterprise HPC clustersCluster configurations with 64 nodes or more offer maximum performance. transtec's proprietary management solution CLUTO or Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 make operation easy and convenient.
