Water-cooled transtec server cabinets
If IT requirements grow, this not only increases energy consumption but also the amount of heat which needs to be dissipated. It not only makes economic sense to depart from standard air cooling technologies, water-cooled cabinets represent a viable solution from a technical aspect as well.

Efficient cooling...
......for IT applications with high dissipation loss - for blade and rack servers.- High-performance air/water heat exchanger
- Homogeneous air channelling with side fan cartridges
- Three-way valve for controlling coolant power
- Separate access to servers and fan cartridges
- Heat dissipation via coolant
- Temperature-dependent rpm fans
- Up to Seven separate fans
- Maintenance and exchange of fans during operation
- Droplet eliminator avoids condensation
- Alarm management
- Automatic door opener (optional)
- Redundant high-performance air distribution for server supply (optional)
- User friendly and service-optimised
Benefits of this cooling technology
- Autonomous server cabinet, independent of ambient conditions
- Safe and reliable cooling efficiency up to 40 kW per cabinet solution
- Modular design, the 20kW cooling unit can be exchanged for a 40kW model for demanding cooling requirements
- Hardware optimally protected against condensation
- Droplet eliminator avoids humidity in air outlet range
- Maximum packing density for high-performance servers, up to 82% footprint savings in EDPC
- Maximum planning protection with endless scalability
- Significant reduction of TCO
The technical concept
The concept is based on a cooling unit with air/water heat exchanger located in the side of the cabinet and six (LHX20) or seven (LHX40) electrically controlled high-performance fans.
The side position of the fans achieves a homogeneous air distribution and increases cooling efficiency.
The closed air circuit ensures minimum heat dissipation into the room.
The connection can be easily made to a building or own water cooler.
Operation and service can be easily planned.
Facts & figures
The effective cooling power ranges from 3kW to 20kW or 40kW, we have not stated all capacity levels.- Water supply temperature: 6/15°C
- Ambient temperature range: 5°C-70°C
- Ambient humidity: 5%-95% relative humidity
- Amount of supply air: max 4,200m³/h
- Return air temperature: 18°C - 30°C
- Airflow direction: horizontal
- IP 55 protection class
