Based on the Intel® 5500 chip set, up to eight physical cores can be installed with two Intel® Xeon® Quad Core processors. This technology uses DDR3 storage modules, which are characterised by lower power consumption and contribute to increasing performance.br /> The Quick Path Interconnect (QPI) and the thus direct memory connection to the processor is introduced with the 5500 chip set (code name Tylersburg) as a key component that stands for increasing speed and is the basis for even better performance.

From now on, four physical cores per processor are available on the AMD-based CALLEO 350 servers which, in conjunction with the DDR2 modules, will contribute towards an impressive increase in performance.
