Individually configurable.
transtec Workstations can be configured with the right graphics solution to suit individual requirements:
- Graphics cards from the NVIDIA® Quadro® NVS series are designed for professional 2-D applications in the business sector, for applications in brokerage or for general business use. Up to four monitors can be managed efficiently and reliably in multi-display environments.
- The NVIDIA® Quadro® graphics cards from the FX series are ideal as high-end graphics cards for professional 3-D applications. Due to their extremely high performance capacity and precision as well as flexible programming options, they are used for Mechanical Computer-Aided Design (MCAD), Digital Content Creation (DCC), Non-Linear Video Editing (NLE) and visualisation applications. NVIDIA® Quadro® graphics cards are certified with all professional workstation programs.
- The high-performance option with NVIDIA® SLI™
The transtec Graphics Workstation can be optimally configured with two NVIDIA® PCI Express graphics cards whose power is bundled in parallel mode via an SLI bridge. The high-performance NVIDIA® SLI™ technology combines the geometry and fill rate performance of two graphics processors to attain a maximum in graphics performance and quality.
SLI technology
The NVIDIA® SLI™ technology for NVIDIA Quadro® graphics cards is an innovative platform for professionals; it allows a dynamical scaling of the graphics performance, improved image quality and an increased screen area.
The parallel running of two PCI Express graphics cards via an SLI bridge allows NVIDIA® SLI™ technology to boast different operating modes:
- SLI frame rendering

- Graphics output on one single monitor.
- Clear increase in application performance.
- SLI multi-screen mode
- Execution of an application on two screens.
- Distributed between multiple monitors.
- SLI FSAA (Full Screen Anti Aliasing)
- Graphics output on one single screen.
- Clear increase in image quality.

Fields of application.
The three main areas of application for Graphics Workstations are CAD/CAE, photorealism and animation
as well as image processing. The transtec Workstations offer the right configuration for each segment.
- CAD/CAE:
- 3D display of constructions using
- Constructive Solid Geometry (CSG) and Finite Element Method (FEM).
- Photorealism and animation:
- Photorealistic displays using
- mesh technology and ray tracing.
- Image processing:
- Professional and scientific image processing using
- Fourier and wavelet analyses as well as geometric equalisation.
