Overview:
SENYO Rackmount PCs were especially designed for use in rough industrial environments. They are developed and produced based on ISO9001:2000 and meet today's CE regulations. All systems can be easily upgraded for later increases in performance, packed into a robust "box" and are shipped with a "burn-in" test report.
All SENYO Rackmount PCs are:
- Robust >> - protected against external influences such as dust, dirt, high temperatures and humidity.
- Flexible >> - can be extended and easily upgraded.
- Efficient >> - configured with 80 Plus power supply.
- Optimised for industrial environment >> -areas of application.
Robust chassis:
In industrial environments, the electronics have to be protected against external damage caused by dust, dirt, extreme temperatures and humidity. This can be achieved by using specially designed, sealed chassis and special filters in the cooling fans.
For the SENYO Rackmount series, we use an extremely high-quality 4U 19" chassis made from galvanised sheet steel with integrated aluminium-design panel:
- With dirt filter at the front
- Operating elements protected behind lockable front door
- IP50 protection class: All-round dust seal at the front
- Vibration-cushioned drive cage
- Fully retractable telescopic rails included
- Toolless exchange of front fan and filter
Vibration dampers reliably protect the hard drives from shocks and vibrations. Filter mats in front of the front fan and drives as well as a dust protection seal all around the front area protect the valuable installation components and guarantee dust protection in compliance with IP50.
A robust equaliser bar along the entire width of the chassis ensures excellent chassis stability and robustness and can also be used to hold down interface cards in the correct position. This guarantees safe component operation during the product's service life.
Upgradeable:
SENYO 19“ Rackmount PC systems are based on a 4U installation chassis with front operating elements. These systems ensure extreme flexibility in every respect. With its spacious size, a 19“ Rackmount PC provides ample space for:
- Up to 5 drives
- Up to 7 extension cards
- Redundant power supply
- Removable interface bays at the rear
- Almost unlimited performance
As an option, we also offer fail-safe interface cards with galvanic separation which are often required in the field of measurement engineering/automatic control technology. As soon as multiple electrical parameters need to be simultaneously measured and generated however they have different GNDs, the measurement transducers must be galvanically isolated from each other.
The input/output lines are thus protected against short circuits, fast transients, electrostatic discharge and high-frequent radiation.
More energy efficiency with 80 Plus power supplies:
High quality with efficiency
The efficiency is calculated from the ratio of output effective power to input effective power. The higher this factor (ideally 1 or 100 percent), the better the power supply or efficiency rate. The smaller the efficiency, the more electric power is converted into useless heat energy by the power supply. Previous standardised power supplies delivered an efficiency of approx. 60 to 70 percent at 50 percent load. The efficiency deteriorates if the power supply is above or below the percentual benchmark.
To qualify for 80 Plus, internal desktop power supplies must achieve at least 80% efficiency at three specified loads, i.e. 20, 50 and 100 percent of maximum rated power. For manufacturers to gain an 80 Plus certification for their power supplies, they must have these values measured and tested by 80plus.org. The test data is logged in a test protocol and published on the www. 80plus.org Website.
In comparison to previous internal desktop power supplies, an 80 percent efficiency is only possible with an exact control circuit in the switching power supply and with components with narrow tolerance ranges. These high standards increase the production costs of such efficient power supplies accordingly.
Even the so-called Power Factor (PF) of a power supply observe the 80 Plus specifications. The power factor refers to the ratio of effective power (P) in Watt to output (S) in VA. The 80plus.org stipulates a power factor larger than 0.9 with a 100 percent system load for a corresponding 80 Plus power supply.
Areas of application:
Thanks to the robust rackmount chassis and various combinations of PCI and PCIe slots, these PCs offer an almost unsurpassable range of possibilities in the industrial sector such as:
- Process visualisation
- Control
- Robotics
- Data generation
- Industrial automation
- Test and inspection equipment for industry or security technology
- Quality control, to name but a few
