VI systems

The power needed by an UPS system can be calculated by implementing a simple rule of thumb. The power of the connected supply in watts is multiplied by a 1.4 factor to obtain the required VA (Volt ampere) specification.
Example:
1000 Watt power supply pack equals: 1000 Watt x 1.4 = 1400 VA
Therefore, in this case, a 1400 VA system.
