Alain Ledoux took responsibility of transtec’s French subsidiary on 22 July. Ledoux, thirty-seven and with a masters in business administration, replaces Sabine Mille, who was interim manager in France and who will remain in charge of sales there.
Mr Ledoux studied business administration in Belfort and has a thorough grasp of IT marketing. His last position was as C.E.O. of LMID, a wholesaler located in the east of France, whose annual turnover rose, during Mr Ledoux’s tenure, to 31 mil euro.
Looking to the future, Alain Ledoux said, “I see great opportunities for transtec in France during the coming years. Our very competitive products should enable us to play a much greater role there than in the past. Our experience and our broad product palette, which ranges from laptops and Business PCs to NAS and cluster systems, are the trump cards that will enable us to win customers among small-to-medium sized businesses.“
Ertu Uysal, member of the management board at transtec, views the appointment of Mr Ledoux as heralding the roll out of a new marketing strategy in Europe. Speaking of the opportunities for transtec in the French market he said, “After successfully implementing our shift to high-availability storage systems and high-performance computers we are looking to France to provide an additional motor for growth. Our efforts at penetrating the university research market have been very successful and now we wish to expand our customer base. Alain Ledoux is the right man for the job.” transtec France, armed with the expertise that the parent firm has acquired in industrial R & D and in academic research, and equipped with a diversified transtec product line, can look forward to conquering new markets under the energetic leadership of its new manager.
