Silent Server Power for the Office
New transtec CALLEO Office Server at just 25 decibels (A) of noise emission

Banbury, Oxfordshire, 8 July 2010. transtec presents a new silent server: The CALLEO Office Server is ideal for companies without their own server centre. It reaches noise levels of just 25 decibels (A) and is only 36 centimetres high. In the standard configuration with an IPMI card, the system can be monitored and maintained by an external IT administrator. The CALLEO Server is designed for use as a backup solution. The entry-level configuration comes in at just 490 GBP. Customers who buy a transtec server with Windows Server 2008 R2 before July 30, 2010 will receive a redeemable voucher worth 43 GBP from transtec.

transtec AG Strengthens the Lynx Brand
Lynx advances to company's product specialist

Banbury, Oxfordshire, June 30, 2010. As part of strategic repositioning plans of transtec AG, the Lynx IT-Systeme GmbH strengthens its role in the business. From 2011 onwards, Lynx will be responsible for the production, indirect sales and marketing of configurable IT standard products within the transtec group. The company will also act in a service provider role handling acquisition, logistics and production for transtec. transtec will turn its attention to the development and roll out of individual and technically sophisticated IT solutions for research and industry as well as for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The strategic business repositioning is scheduled for completion by mid 2011.

Hans-Jürgen Bahde, Executive Board Member at transtec AG, announced today at the company's general annual meeting the new European business direction of the transtec group. The separate legal entities of transtec AG and Lynx IT-Systeme GmbH will resolutely focus on their key areas of competence. transtec will concentrate on projects with complex IT solutions and high-performance computing for customers in research and development and for SMBs. Lynx will become the IT product specialist in the group and will be responsible for business with standardised premium IT products in indirect sales.
