Ertugrul Uysal-Soylu













Ertugrul Uysal-Soylu, born in 1954, is member of the management board of transtec AG in Tübingen, Germany. He is in charge of product strategy, marketing, purchasing and sales.

Ertugrul Uysal-Soylu was born in 1954 in Istanbul. Following the completion of his studies in business administration, he took up a position at IBF, a Swiss management consulting firm with international reach. After spending five years there he joined the transtec management team in Tübingen, where he was responsible for purchasing. He played a leading role in the reorganisation of Hamilton Rentals.

Mr Uysal-Soylu later founded several companies, among them dataman GmbH, which expanded to include five subsidiaries in various parts of Europe, and Qunix GmbH, one of the pioneers of RAID system development in Europe. With the acquisition of the English firm Lapis Ltd, activities broadened to include the design and manufacturing of storage systems, many of which have found their place in transtec’s first storage offerings.

In 2001 Mr Uysal-Soylu founded AGACOM, an investment firm offering a variety of consultation services and having several holdings. AGACOM was involved in the floating of the Triple Stor GmbH IPO. Triple Stor was later acquired by the transtec group.

Mr Uysal-Soylu has been a member of the transtec executive board since 1 January 2005. He is responsible for product strategy, marketing and sales. In addition to his broad executive experience he has contacts with IT manufacturers the world over.

Mr Uysal-Soylu is married and has one child, a daughter. In his leisure time he enjoys getting together with old friends, among whom are a number of former business associates.
