„Jugend forscht“ - Milad Mafi
For several years now transtec has supported the young researcher- developer Milad Mafi, who entered the "Jugend forscht" competition at age fifteen. The results of his project, which involved computer simulation of turbulence created by Formula One cars, included a proposal for an improved tail fin, which in the meantime has been submitted to FIA, the Formula One interest group, for evaluation.

Computer chess championship – machine against machine
Stefan Mayer-Kahlen, programmer and developer of the chess program Shredder, will once again participate in the World Computer Chess Championship. As in past years he will rely on transtec hardware, this time on a quad-core server running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 64-Bit. We wish him lots of success.

Robin Hood animal shelter service
The Robin Hood animal shelter service provides assistance to regional animal shelters and thereby also to lost and outcast pets. transtec was pleased to give the shelter a donation for provender.

LAV Tübingen – track opening on May 5th to 6th, 2007
During the annual track opening there an added need for hardware such as notebooks to record the results of events. transtec provided the required devices, thus making a modest contribution to the smooth running of the event.

THW notebook for training purposes
The Agency for Technical Relief in Tübingen, a disaster relief organisation, provides help to the population of the region in diverse forms. In order to channel and expand its resources the agency makes extensive investments in the training of new assistants and young persons. A notebook that was required for this purpose was provided by transtec.

tabletop football for children
transtec as a team of the action "Tour de Chance" from Novell won a tabletop football. We decided to spent this present to the children´s hospital in Tuebingen. The ward that will get it is especially for the longterm-patients which are primarly cancer-patients (hematology, oncology). These are children, which have to stay there for months, away from their families and we´re sure, that a present like this could bring some smiles on their faces.
